Can you imagine a man, who once lived on footpath and went without food, is now the owner of central India’s fastest growing fast food chain! Yes, we are talking about Dolraj Gaire, the man behind Sagar Gaire chain of fast food outlets.
Born and raised in a poor farmer family of Nepal, Dolraj migrated to India for a better livelihood when he was just 11-year-old. It was tough for him to survive in an unknown land and joined the labor force in Azadpur Mandi, New Delhi to survive. After a couple of years, some of his friends advised him to settle in Bhopal for a better opportunity.
Followed by his hobby of cooking, he decided to start selling soup on the streets of Bhopal as a healthy alternative for tea. Simultaneously, he has also worked with many hotels and carefully observed their functioning.

Soon he became famous in the city as ‘Cycle Soupwala’ and was motivated to start a small fast-food shop in the roadside market. People drew to his shop for quality and taste and soon he began receiving 300-400 orders daily. In 2008, he purchased his first shop for Rs 15 lakhs with the help of his friends and a bank loan and named it Sagar Gaire Fast Food Corner. Today, he is the owner of more than seven branches operating in the city of lakes.

Ten years have passed, but Dolraj hasn’t forgotten his days of struggle and works towards betterment of people in need. He also helped many of his friends to settle their own business.
Dolraj has also decided to launch his fast-food chain across the country to provide healthy food at an affordable price. Once a Cycle Soupwala, Dolraj is now a celebrity chef and the proud owner of a prestigious food chain. His entrepreneurial journey is a strong source of inspiration for many aspiring entrepreneurs.
